Which names should I enter for my booking?

Modified on Fri, 30 Aug at 10:57 AM

Enter the exact name as it appears in your passport. If you have multiple given names, you only need to enter your first given name. If you are married, enter your maiden name as per your passport. After booking, the names on your ticket may appear in a different order, without spaces, and with MR, MRS, or MS between the names—this is not a problem. If your name is misspelled on your ticket, correcting it will incur a fee.

Given Name

  • This is your first given name as it appears in your passport or ID (e.g., Willeke).
  • Do not enter a nickname or any additional names.
  • If you have multiple given names, use only the first one. This ensures that your name fits on the ticket.

Surname

  • Your full surname including any spaces (e.g., DeBruijn).
  • Write everything without spaces or special characters.
  • Use your maiden name rather than your married name.

Additional Points

  • If your passport does not list a first or last name, do not enter anything and contact the Customer Service Center for advice.
  • If your name contains special characters, check how the name is written at the bottom of your passport in the machine-readable zone.
  • Pay attention to the date of birth you enter, as this is a common area where errors occur.

If you discover an error in your name, contact the Customer Service Center.

If you have booked a Low-Cost ticket (e.g., Transavia, Wizzair, etc.), visit the website of the respective low-cost airline to change your name.
