Do children and infants receive a discount on the flight ticket price?

Modified on Fri, 30 Aug at 10:58 AM

This varies by airline. In many cases, children under 12 years old receive a discount, which is included in the total price. The price per person is the total price divided by all passengers. An infant (0 to 1 year old) travels on the lap of an adult at a reduced price.

For low-cost airlines such as Transavia, EasyJet, Corendon, and WizzAir, child discounts are often not provided, and a child aged 2 to 11 years typically pays the same price as an adult.
